1. What are the requirements for Green Specialist training?

This program is for everyone who wants to make a contribution to reverse the trends that are undermining our future. As a Certified Green Specialist ™, you will have the background and resources needed to help others evaluate green products and energy systems that contribute to healthful living, and demonstrate environmental responsibility.

2. What are the requirements for Green Designer training?

The Green Designer training is for those already involved in some aspect of the design field. As a Certified Green Designer ™, you can help make the practice of green design an industry standard. Your certification tells your customers about your qualifications and professionalism.

3. Must I renew my certification each year?

Yes. Training is continuous and essential to proper operation of your consulting business. Each year, all certificate holders will be required to complete Continuing Education Units (CEU) and pay a fee to renew their certification. BecomingGreen, Inc will offer some courses that will qualify for CEU’s, and we will also accept other courses, outside of BecomingGreen, Inc. A complete list will be available soon.

4. Do I need computer skills?

Only basic computer skills are required to complete the online courses.

5. How will I work with my new certification?

This program will give you the information you need to launch a new business, or enhance an existing career.

6. How do I find clients?

You advertise and promote your consulting business locally in your area. From time to time, we may be able to provide you with leads in your area, but it’s important that you market yourself locally. BecomingGreen, Inc’s Marketing Kit provides each Green Specialist ™ and Green Designer with helpful tools, such as website template, business card template, client handouts, etc.

7. How often do you offer training?

We will offer a limited number of live classes each year, so do not miss the opportunity when we are near your area! Also, it may benefit you to take our classes online. Our online courses will be ready early in 2010.
